The problem we address

Much of modern skincare is designed without context.

Formulas built for colder climates are worn in heat and humidity. Strong actives are layered daily without allowing skin to recover. Routines grow longer, heavier, and more aggressive over time.

Instead of becoming resilient, skin becomes reactive.

This is not because skin is weak, but because it is overstimulated.

How we formulate

Every INDSO product begins with hydration.

Not as an added benefit, but as the core system that allows skin to function properly. Well-hydrated skin maintains barrier strength, tolerates active ingredients better, and recovers more effectively from environmental stress.

All INDSO formulas are water-based, hydration-first gels designed to support the skin barrier before addressing specific concerns such as brightening, calming, repair, or protection.

Our formulations combine globally established clinical ingredients with Indian-origin botanicals that have a long history of skin compatibility. Ingredients are selected for tolerance, stability, and suitability for daily use rather than trend relevance.

Each formula is designed to absorb quickly, feel weightless on the skin, and reduce the need for multiple steps without compromising performance.

Designed for Indian conditions

INDSO products are developed for real Indian environments.

They are tested and refined for heat, humidity, pollution exposure, long wear, and frequent cleansing. They are made to be layered comfortably under sunscreen or makeup and to be used consistently without causing fatigue or irritation.

Our focus is long-term skin balance rather than short-term intensity.

Standards we follow

INDSO formulations follow globally recognized cosmetic frameworks and Indian regulatory standards.

We use INCI-compliant ingredient disclosure, align with ISO guidelines for naturally derived inputs, and meet BIS cosmetic safety requirements. Our formulas are predominantly naturally derived and tested across Indian skin types and climates.

The INDSO range

INDSO currently offers eight hydration-led gel formulations, each housed in a 50g frosted glass jar with a matte white cap.

Each gel addresses a specific skin need while maintaining the same lightweight, breathable texture philosophy. The range is designed to work intuitively, allowing products to be used alone or combined without overwhelming the skin.

The goal is not to build complex routines, but to create a system that adapts to changing skin needs while remaining familiar and easy to use.

What we choose not to do

Our packaging reflects this philosophy. It is clear, quiet, and functional. There is no visual noise and no unnecessary messaging. What matters is allowed to speak for itself.

Founder’s note

INDSO began with a question I couldn’t ignore: why does skincare so often fail the people who need it most?

Living with psoriasis made even basic skincare feel uncertain. In my family, sensitivity, pigmentation, and breakouts were common. Like many Indian households, we relied on familiar products out of habit rather than trust.

Most of them didn’t work. Heavy textures felt uncomfortable in heat. Strong actives caused flare-ups. Routines were too complex to sustain. It became clear that much of the skincare available in India was not designed for Indian skin living modern Indian conditions.

INDSO was built by working closely with formulators and dermatology partners to create products that prioritise tolerance over intensity. Many early formulas were rejected for being too light or too mild. Yet those qualities proved essential for consistency and long-term use.

The process took time and multiple iterations, not in pursuit of perfection, but because compromise wasn’t an option.

INDSO did not begin as a solution for a single condition. It began as a refusal to accept discomfort as normal.

I still live with psoriasis. INDSO didn’t fix me, and that’s the point. This brand is not about defeating skin. It is about learning to live with it honestly, consistently, and without fear.

Our name

INDSO stands for Independent Society.

It reflects a belief in care that extends beyond the individual, in rituals that build continuity, and in systems that value steadiness over urgency.

Part of a larger vision

INDSO operates under its parent organization, Zeroing, founded in 2021. Zeroing focuses on building future-ready systems across care, culture, and sustainability.
